FREERIDE CAMP IN A NUTSHELL.  In Japan you start your day with skiing some of the most consistent and lightest powder on Earth, after lunch and warm sake you can hike up the volcanic peak, have an amazing run to the bottom, grab some Hokkaido Ramen for dinner and finish up in Japanese Onsen with beer in your hand.

On our camps we base ourselves in Niseko area with access to 11 powder ski resorts and countless backcountry Pictureoptions. We have a van, weather forecast and always look for the best snow, so flexibility is the key. We offer a mixture of lift-access off-piste skiing and backcountry ski-touring.  Please choose between FREERIDE CAMP and HOKKAIDO ROAD TRIP depending on how much touring you want to do.

IS IT FOR ME? You don´t have to be expert skier to attend our camp, however, you should be able to ski comfortably on most black slopes. We will take care of you powder technique.

GROUP SIZE?  Maximum size of the group is 5, with no more than 2 groups per camp. Like this we can ensure the best quality and can divide participants in groups regarding their skiing level. Plus, if you want a private group, put 5 friends together and you will have a private guide and van for the whole trip!

HOKKAIDOPicture

BHokkaido’s ski resorts average a jaw-dropping 18 metres of snow a year. It not only snows a lot, it snows all the time. According to measuring in 2012 it snowed 94.5% days of the winter.

RESORTS. During 9 days on snow you will be riding off-piste of following powder resorts. World-famous NISEKO is the largest area on the island covering 4 ski resorts (Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and Annupuri). RUSUTSU offers the best tree skiing and side-country park for the ones willing to try some freestyle.  KIRORO receives the same amount of white goods and is still pretty undiscovered. Let’s keep it this way and don’t tell anyone :). We will head to smaller resorts – hidden gems such as KOKUSAI or MOIWA. For the steepest terrain in Hokkaido and amazing ocean views we visit SAPPORO TEINE.

BACKCOUNTRY. We will hike up MT. YOTEI volcano and get to ski inside the crater. Descent down Yotei will be the highlight of your Japanese trip.  Moreover we will tackle the peaks in Niseko Area and won’t miss the hike up to MT. ANNUPURI and Niseko’s back-bowls.

HOKKAIDO ROAD TRIP. On our Road Trip we will drive up north to enjoy ski-touring in mountain ranges of Central Hokkaido. We will spend a day in the backcountry of KURO-DAKE an enjoy the longest top to bottom ride in Hokkaido. FURANO-DAKE is a wide mountain range in Central Hokkaido offering endless hiking possibilities and untouched powder.

TOWNS. NISEKO is a laid-back mountain town with a surfing-town vibe and dozens of Onsen (hot springs), Japanese restaurants and bars for settling into after-ski comas. SAPPORO is the snowiest city in the world with unique night life and great Japanese food.
