Camp Ouareau

Camp Ouareau is an all-girls camp located on the border of Lake Ouareau in Quebec. Established in 1922, the camp was originally intended to be English-only, but it now accommodates English speakers, French speakers and international students, to focus on a positive girl community with a cultural exchange aspect. Their residential camp programs provide a welcoming environment for girls and young women to discover their true selves, with an over 90-year tradition of developing independence and confidence in our campers.

Campers create individual activity schedules, with many different options available that suit a girl’s strengths, interests, and maturity. Language courses are offered for second-language improvement. Ouareau’s leadership & community-building programs are designed to build self-confidence, self-reliance, communication, and problem-solving skills. Our staff are chosen for their care, experience, and commitment to the values of Ouareau.

CAMP OUAREAU IS FOR GIRLS AGED 6-16

who are looking to be a part of a positive girl community, make new friends, and live in a bilingual environment.

Our residential camp programs provide a welcoming environment for girls and young women to discover their true selves, with an over 90-year tradition of developing independence and confidence in our campers.

Our unique linguistic program allows Francophone and Anglophone girls to work on their English or French second language skills, and bilingual girls to live both their languages, while developing friendships that can last a lifetime.

Ouareau allows campers to create their own activity schedules, allowing them to explore new skills and create exciting goals for their summer in their new home away from home.
