World-class research
Many of our research areas have been judged as having carried out research of the very highest quality – world leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour. A research breakthrough at the university’s Natural Resources Institute, for example, has been named as one of the ten most important discoveries to be made at a UK university over the past 60 years. A poll of UK academics recognised the institute’s work controlling the tsetse fly in Africa, which is helping to combat the fatal disease sleeping sickness.

Excellent transport links
All three of our campuses benefit from excellent transport links. Greenwich and Avery Hill Campuses are well connected by bus and train to central London, and Medway Campus is just a 45-minute train journey away. Once you are in the capital,the whole country is open to you through high-speed train links to virtually all the major cities.
