Tettenhall College
Tettenhall College is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school situated in the old village of Tettenhall, some three miles to the west of Wolverhampton. The School stands in 33 acres of beautiful woodland and grounds, and offers a first-rate education to boys and girls between the ages of two and eighteen.
The school has small class sizes, first rate facilities in a fabulous location, dedicated teachers and excellent relationships between staff, pupils and parents. It is no surprise that our children leave as well rounded individuals with examination results far better than would be expected based on national averages, with happy memories of school and a thorough preparation for their future.

A spacious library houses in excess of 12,000 volumes and provides access to other research tools and networked computers. Our modern purpose-built Science Faculty is named after Sir Arthur Harden, a former pupil who won a Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
Tettenhall Towers is home to our performing arts facilities with its superb fully refurbished nineteenth century theatre, and both practice and teaching rooms for music and drama. The school Chapel also has a fine Nicholson organ used for services and concerts. The Art School is very well equipped allowing pupils to try pottery, textiles, sculpture, printing, photography and computer-aided design in addition to drawing and painting.

Academic
Our teaching is undertaken by highly qualified professionals, all of whom are specialists in their individual subject

Our pupils excel academically achieving superb results at GCSE level, enabling entry to the Sixth Form for A level study, as well as onward progression to a wide range of degree courses at leading universities across the UK and beyond. Our results demonstrate excellent ‘value added’ success: with most students performing far better than their baseline assessment predictions.
The curriculum is based around the study of academic subjects across four core Faculties; Arts and Humanities, Languages and Literature, Maths, Business and Technology, and Science. The faculty approach ensures that each subject area is not isolated and staff are able to share ideas and good practice from different perspectives, ensuring that students get the best possible learning experiences.

Scholarships
Academic Scholarships
These are awarded at 11+, 13+ and 16+ for entry into the Sixth-Form. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of assessment or examination, a report from the candidate’s school and an interview with the Headmaster. In the case of internal candidates, their previous record at the school will be taken into account. Bursaries
Means-tested bursaries may be awarded to pupils in the Senior School whose parents are on low incomes. Applications for means-tested bursaries must be accompanied by a Confidential Circumstances Form completed by the candidate’s parents. The sons and daughters of Service personnel or the Clergy are also eligible for a bursary. Full details are available from the Headmaster’s Office.
Discounts
A sibling discount of 10% is granted to families with more than one child in the school and is applied on the younger child’s account/youngest children(s) accounts.
A 2% reduction in fees is available if parents pay a year’s fees in advance.
Uniform
The appearance of all pupils must be smart and unless special permission is granted, school uniform must be worn in
school, at all school functions both on and off the school premises and while travelling to and from school. Pupils may not wear makeup or jewellery, apart from a wristwatch and stud earrings. Hair should be its natural colour and cut in a respectable style.
