About Worldwide School of English

Welcome to Worldwide – a great English Language School in Auckland, New Zealand. About the school and about the people.
Worldwide School of English offers a great English language study experience in Auckland, New Zealand.
  • We are in mid city, near the harbour, shops, boats, bus station, train station, restaurants and theatres. (view map)
  • We offer General English classes at 7 levels, Academic English preparation classes, FCE and CAE,  Business English (BEC) classes, TESOL + TKT, plus many other courses and programmes.
  • Our classes have an average of 11 students (maximum of 15).
  • Job Club. We help our students find part time jobs
  • Every Friday afternoon we also have conversation/special classes, Job Club class, movie in our school movie theatre with free popcorn, IELTS/TOEIC practice tests or a cheap activity as options.
  • We are an NZQA Category 1 registered and accredited school.
  • We arrange Homestays with a New Zealand family and accommodation at  City Apartments.
  • Great facilities.
  • A full range of daily after school activities, social programmes, free activities and weekend trips are also organised.
  • Native language counsellors, academic counselling/placement for further study and airport pick-up is free for Worldwide Students.

Courses & Programmes

You can begin a General English class at Worldwide on any Monday!
  • On your first day you will be interviewed, tested and placed at the right level for you.
  • On your first day you will also have an orientation session as well as meet your counsellor.
  • No class ever has more than 15 students (average of 11 students per class) and minimum age 18 years old.
  • There are fortnightly tests and monthly progress reports.
  • Our courses are approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. We are a Category 1 School. All student visa students can work 20 hours per week part time.
  • We are an ENGLISH NEW ZEALAND School and a Quality English member.

General English

  • Morning classes
    From 9am – 12.15pm Monday to Friday.
  • Afternoon classes
    From 1.30pm – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday.
  • Friday afternoon options
    From 1.30pm – 3.30pm.Class timetable:

    9.00 am – 9.55 am

    10.05 am – 11.00 am

    11.20 am – 12.15 pm

    1.30 pm – 2.25 pm

    2.35 pm – 3.30 pm

    LMS 

    At Worldwide School we have a Learning Management System.

    The LMS is a communications portal between the student and the school. The student can use the system to access messages from teachers, counsellors and Worldwide staff. They can also get recent Worldwide School news as well as read monthly reports and check test scores.

    More importantly, the LMS will help students with their learning. They can do homework through the system, access recommended webpages and do exercises to help you with reading, writing, grammar, listening and vocabulary. They can choose to practice whatever they need and accelerate their learning.

    Teachers will be able to see results and give feedback on progress.

Academic English  

  • Business English
    From 1.30pm – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday (with optional practice tests on Friday)
  • Cambridge FCE and CAE Preparation Classes
    From 9am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. 4 times a year.
  • IELTS
    From 9am – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday (with a practice test on Friday). 3 levels of IELTS classes are offered.
  • TOEIC
    From 1.30pm – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday (with a practice test on Friday).
